#1 Tip from
ORAPARx® Users:

Use ORAPARx® in the shower!

It's an easy way to incorporate ORAPARx® into your normal routine.

How to use ORAPARx®
ORAPARx® is easy to use and will leave your mouth feeling as if you just had a dental cleaning!

Instructions:
  1. Unscrew the tube cap and remove the safety seal. Replace the tube cap.
  2. Squeeze ORAPARx® paste firmly into the groove on one side of the dental tray.
  3. Turn dental tray over and repeat Step 2 so that both sides of the dental tray contain ORAPARx® paste.
  4. Place dental tray in your mouth, making sure your bottom and top teeth fit into the grooves of the tray. Do not clinch or bite down on tray.
  5. Leave dental tray in your mouth for at least 5-10 minutes.
After 5-10 minutes:
  1. Spit out paste.
  2. Rinse tray thoroughly with warm water and set aside to air dry. Your tray has absorbed saliva and will have expanded in size. It will return to its original size as it air dries. Allow your tray to dry before your next treatment.
  3. Brush your teeth with a mild, non-abrasive toothpaste.

How will I know ORAPARx® is working?
Only a dentist or dental hygienist can get your teeth as clean as ORAPARx® After an ORAPARx® application, you'll feel as if you've just had a dental office cleaning.

Many people notice a fuzzy or sticky film on their teeth just hours after brushing, eating or when they wake in the morning. Regular ORAPARx® users notice they no longer have film on their teeth. This film, called biofilm, supports plaque growth. ORAPARx® action interferes with the formation of biofilm. By not allowing biofilm to attach to the tooth's surface, harmful bacteria are stopped. You may find this helpful in determining how often to use ORAPARx®. If you notice a fuzzy or sticky film on your teeth, it's time for an ORAPARx® treatment.

Professional Dental Cleanings: Many regular ORAPARx® users find that dental cleanings are much less painful and may be required less frequently. ORAPARx® is especially helpful for those who experience painful cleanings, require frequent cleanings or neglect to get regular cleanings.

Brushing Teeth: It is best not to brush your teeth immediately before an ORAPARx® application. After an ORAPARx® application, brush your teeth with a nonabrasive toothpaste.

Number of Applications: Needs vary from person to person. Try using ORAPARx® daily for 7 days. After 7 days, adjust the frequency of applications to meet your own needs. Some ORAPARx® users enjoy daily applications while others find once a week applications sufficient.

Braces and Dental Appliances: ORAPARx® will not harm dental work. Removable dental appliances, such as partials, should be left in the mouth when using ORAPARx®. ORAPARx® is very helpful to and may be used by those with orthodontic braces.

Tray Discoloration: Dental work may discolor the ORAPARx® tray. A discolored tray will not interfere with the cleansing action of ORAPARx®.

Pregnant and Lactating Women: The American Academy of Periodontology recommends that women maintain a high level of oral hygiene prior to and throughout pregnancy. Consult your physician before using ORAPARx®.
